About this place
Yachiyoza is a theatre at 1499 Yamaga, Yamaga, Kumamoto Prefecture. It was built in 1910. It was designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan in 1988, and restoration work was completed in 2001. It was used for a variety of events, including kabuki, naniwabushi, silent films, modern drama, concerts of Japanese music and classical music, and elementary school talent shows.
