About this place
Minoo Falls (Minoo Taki, Minoo no Taki, Minoo Daki) is a waterfall in Meiji no Mori Minoo Quasi-National Park in Minoh, Osaka Prefecture. Also called Minoo Otaki, it has a drop of 33 metres. It has been selected as one of Japan's 100 Waterfalls. It is located in Minoo Park (area 83.8 hectares), an Osaka Prefecture urban park within Meiji no Mori Minoo Quasi-National Park. The main park facilities include the waterfall path, the plaza in front of the falls, the rest area in front of the falls and the waterfall-viewing rest area. The falls and the waterfall path attract many people, especially in the fresh green of spring and the autumn leaves. In ancient times it was a training ground for Shugendo.
