About this place
Ashikaga Flower Park (English: Ashikaga Flower Park) is a flower theme park in Hazamacho, Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture. It is one of the three famous sights of Ashikaga. The park originated in the 1920s, when the father of the president, Hayakawa, a large landowner in Horigomecho (now Asakuracho), Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture, planted a great wisteria in a corner of his garden. So that people in the neighbourhood could enjoy that wisteria, the garden was renovated in 1968 (Showa 43) and the Hayakawa Farm, the predecessor of Ashikaga Flower Park, was established.
