About this place
Inami carving is a wood-carved craft produced mainly in the Inami district of Nanto, Toyama Prefecture (formerly Inami Town). The origin of Inami carving is closely connected with the fact that Inami Betsuin Zuisenji, founded in 1390 (Meitoku 1), burned down many times and was each time rebuilt by the temple carpenters of Inami.
