Founded to mark 1,100 years since the capital moved to Heian. Its halls are a scaled-down recreation of the Chodoin of Heiankyo, and it is known for its garden.

Said to be where the young Ushiwakamaru learned swordsmanship from the tengu. Known for its May full moon rite.
