Rites and traditional events that carry on each area's history, faith and way of life.
A festival of Suwa Shrine in which 14 floats are pulled through the Shinjuku district of Sawara in Katori. Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day, and on the afternoon of the 10th all 14 floats are pulled together.
An autumn festival in which more than 20 floats parade around Makata Shrine and the Omatsuri Hiroba plaza in the castle town of Sakura. Hours are 15:00 to 22:00, and it is about a 5-minute walk from Keisei Sakura Station.
This autumn leaves festival is held in Naritasan Park at Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays during the festival, instruments such as the shamisen and koto are performed at the Ukimido pavilion. Events run from 10:00 to 15:00.
