A festival in which about 150 danjiri floats and mikoshi portable shrines parade through Saijo on October 10 and 11 and from the 14th to the 17th. At the "Kawairi" on the Kamo River on the evening of the 16th, about 80 danjiri line up on the embankment and light their lanterns.
Taikodai drum floats fitted with decorative curtains embroidered in gold and silver thread go out into each district of Niihama. The "Kakikurabe", in which about 150 bearers lift a taikodai weighing about 3 tons, is performed at Yamane Ground and other places.
