Rites and traditional events that carry on each area's history, faith and way of life.
A pottery fair held in spring and autumn in the Koishiwara district of Toho, where about 40 kilns making Koishiwara ware and Takatori ware open their kilns all at once. During the event a free temporary shuttle bus runs between Hikosan Station and Gallery Koishiwara.
An event that lights up the whole area of the castle tower plaza at Kokura Castle with 30,000 bamboo lanterns. Hours are 18:00 to 21:00 (admission until 20:30), and it is cancelled on rainy days.
