Rites and traditional events that carry on each area's history, faith and way of life.
In Kikuchi City, white dragons large and small, including male and female dragons, parade around Furusato Sosei Citizens' Plaza, and about 3,000 fireworks are launched at the finale. It runs from 15:00 to 21:00, and admission is free.
An exhibition and sale of ceramics with 100 kilns exhibiting, mainly from the Amakusa islands, along with wheel-throwing and painting experiences, a food stall village and a local products fair. The main venues are the Amakusa Civic Center and gymnasium.
A night walk through Suizenji Jojuen Garden amid light installations. Hours are 18:00 to 21:00 (last entry 20:30), and admission is free for junior high school students and younger.
