The annual grand festival of Muku Shrine in Shimoyoshida, Chichibu, in which lit Ryusei rockets soar with a roar to a height of 300 m. It starts at 8:40 and is scheduled to end once 30 rockets have been launched.
Floats are pulled through the town of Kawagoe, and the "Hikkawase", in which floats face each other and compete with their festival music, takes place. Because the whole venue area is closed to vehicles from 10:00 to 22:00 on both days, visitors are advised to use public transport.
