Over two days, the grand festival of Kumano Hayatama Taisha includes the sacred horse procession, the portable shrine procession and the Mifune boat festival. It is designated a national Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property.

An event celebrating the harvest of Fuyu persimmons in Kudoyama, with direct sales of persimmons and other local farm produce, stage shows and a flea market. The venue is the lawn plaza of Michi-no-Eki Kaki-no-Sato Kudoyama, from 10:00 to 16:00 on the 14th and from 10:00 to 15:00 on the 15th.
