One of Kagoshima's three major events, featuring a warrior procession, offerings of local folk performing arts, a local products fair and an athletic tournament centered on martial arts. The warrior procession's shrine visits start at 17:25 on the 24th and 13:30 on the 25th.

A festival centred on the So-odori mass dance, in which dance groups move along the tram street to folk songs such as "Ohara-bushi". The Night Festival on the 2nd starts at 18:50 and the Main Festival on the 3rd at 10:20; the dance zone covers about 1,480 m from Takamibaba to Sanbashi-dori.
