The castle of Katakura Kojuro, senior retainer of the Date. It was rebuilt in 1995 by traditional Japanese methods.
Beside Zuiganji, the mortuary temple of Masamune's grandson Mitsumune. The shrine of the Sankeiden is painted with roses and a cross, said to have been brought back by Hasekura Tsunenaga.
The mausoleum of Date Masamune. Built by his will and named a national treasure, it burned in the war and was later rebuilt.
Where the sons of Iwadeyama Date retainers studied in the Edo period. The main house, the retirement home of the second lord Munetoshi, remains.
