About this place
Okuaizu braided crafts are a traditional craft handed down mainly in Mishima, Onuma District, in the Okuaizu region of Fukushima Prefecture. Made from plant materials such as hiroro, silver vine and wild grape, they include woven baskets and strainers for everyday use.
