About this place
Iwaki City Art Museum is a municipal art museum in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture. Its English name is "Iwaki City Art Museum." It opened in 1984. It is distinguished by contemporary art from Japan and abroad and works connected with the region. The collection exceeds 2,300 works. In addition to the permanent exhibition, it has abundant special exhibitions; from April to December it usually introduces various art of all ages and countries, and from January to March it also holds the "Elementary and Junior High School Print Exhibition" and the "Citizens' Art Exhibition," which citizens can enter.
