About this place
Marufuji Winery Co., Ltd. (English name: Marufuji Winery Co.,Ltd) is a winemaker in Fujii, Katsunuma, Koshu, Yamanashi Prefecture. Its history began in 1877 (Meiji 10), when Omura Chubei founded Dai Nippon Yamanashi Budoshu. In 1882 (Meiji 15), the second Omura Jisaku began brewing wine. In 1957 (Showa 32) it began making and selling wine under the product name Rubaiyat.
