About this place
The Ichinomiya of Hoki Province, in Yurihama, Tottori. Its deities include Takehabatsuchi no Mikoto and Shitateruhime no Mikoto, and it is also known as a god of safe childbirth. Because many of the Shitori clan, who made a living by weaving, lived in this region, it is thought to have been founded by enshrining Takehabatsuchi no Mikoto, the ancestral god of weaving. In the grounds is a rock called the Safe Childbirth Rock, and the annual festival on May 1 is affectionately known as Ichinomiya-san.
