About this place
A festival held around JR Hakubi Line Eo Station in Kofu, Tottori, around the 17th of August during the Obon season. It originates from the story of the lord of the former Emi Castle opening the castle gates and dancing through the night with townspeople and farmers. It features the Kodaiji dance, a prefectural intangible cultural property, a dedicated grand sumo tournament, the fire characters on Mt. Kure, fireworks, and a street of stalls in front of the station.
