About this place
A small craft village in Nakagoryo, Furano, Hokkaido, where about 15 log houses are scattered among the trees. The name comes from the fairy-like "wise ones," about 15 cm tall and living in the forest, who appear in the book Ningle by the screenwriter Sou Kuramoto. Open 10:00-20:45 in July-August and 12:00-20:45 in September-June; admission free.
