About this place
A historical park in Kochi Prefecture formed around Kochi Castle, built by Yamauchi Kazutoyo. Statues of Yamauchi Kazutoyo, his wife Chiyo and Itagaki Taisuke stand there, and the whole castle site is a national historic site. Best viewing is plum blossoms from mid-February to early March, cherry blossoms from late March to early April, and autumn leaves from late November to mid-December.
