About this place
Hekinan City Fujii Tatsukichi Museum of Contemporary Art is a public art museum in Hekinan, Aichi Prefecture. It opened on April 5, 2008 (Heisei 20). It was developed by renovating the former Hekinan Chamber of Commerce and Industry building. In 2001 (Heisei 13), Hekinan drew up a plan to turn the old building of the Hekinan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which was to be relocated and newly built, into a "Furusato-kan" like a citizens' gallery exhibiting local materials. The expected project cost was about 400 million yen.
