About this place
The Ichihara Lakeside Museum is an art museum in Chiba Prefecture. It opened on 1 November 1995 as its predecessor, the "Ichihara City Hill of Water and Sculpture." On 3 August 2013 it was renovated and reopened under a company chaired by Fram Kitagawa as designated manager. As its name suggests, it stands on the shore of Lake Takataki. It is the central facility of the triennial art festival "Ichihara Art x Mix."
