About this place
Shirakaba Museum of Literature is a Japanese literary memorial museum in Abiko, Chiba Prefecture, built near the former Shiga Naoya residence. In the autumn of 1914 (Taisho 3), Yanagi Muneyoshi, a central figure of the Shirakaba group that developed around the magazine Shirakaba, moved with his new wife Kaneko to the shore of Lake Teganuma, in front of the villa site of his uncle (Kano Jigoro).
