About this place
The Wax Museum Kamihaga-tei is a museum at 2696 Uchiko, Uchiko, Kita District, Ehime Prefecture. It opened in 1980 (Showa 55). Ten buildings including the main house are Important Cultural Properties, and the cultural property designation name is the Kamihaga Family Residence. It is within the Yokaichi-Gokoku Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. Uchiko is a town that has prospered since the Edo period on the production of Ozu washi and wood wax.
