About this place
The Yusu Mizunuragaura terraced fields are terraced fields in Yusu, Uwajima, Ehime Prefecture, built by piling stone walls on a steep slope. Under the Important Cultural Landscape selection system created by the 2004 (Heisei 16) revision of the Law for the Protection of Cultural Properties, it was selected on 26 July 2007, the first in the Shikoku region, under the name "Yusu Mizunuragaura Terraced Fields" in the category "landscapes related to agriculture such as paddies and fields."
