About this place
Hanamiyama Park is the name of the private land of flower-growing farmers in Fukushima, Fukushima Prefecture. It is located halfway up a hillside in the Watari district on the right bank of the Abukuma River, southeast of the central urban area. The owners open it to citizens free of charge as a park, and it attracts many tourists, especially in the spring cherry blossom season. Farms around the park also grow flowers, and since flowers bloom throughout the district, "Hanamiyama" is also used as a collective name for the whole district.
