About this place
Okuaizu Museum is a museum in Minamiaizu, Fukushima Prefecture. To preserve and pass on the traditional culture of Okuaizu, it exhibits and stores tangible folk cultural properties. In 1994 (Heisei 6), it opened as the Okuaizu Regional History and Folklore Museum under the provisions of the ordinance of the former Tajima Town on comprehensive facilities for the preservation of historical and folk cultural properties, before it merged into Minamiaizu.
