Overview
A large theatre by the station, designed around acoustics as home to the Gunma Symphony.
About this place
Takasaki Arts Theater is a public cultural theater located in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture. Because the Gunma Music Center had aged, Takasaki planned the "Takasaki Cultural and Arts Center" at the east exit of the station. Its main theater seats 2,030, the largest in the prefecture, exceeding the 1,994 seats of the Beisia Cultural Hall in Maebashi. The studio theater seats up to 1,000, and the music hall, suited to chamber music and the like, was provided as Gunma's first dedicated concert hall.
