A wedding-furniture town where the trades divide the work and compete on the precision of the joinery.
About this place
Fuchu furniture (English: FUCHU FURNITURE) is furniture made in Fuchu, Hiroshima Prefecture. It is the first regional collective trademark for furniture and is managed by the Fuchu Furniture Industrial Cooperative. It is famous as a brand of high-end furniture, especially wedding furniture. As wedding furniture, it was made so that everything from kimono to small items, children's report cards and umbilical cords could be carefully stored; today it produces comprehensive furniture and interiors to match changes in lifestyle.
