About this place
Atomic-bombed buildings are structures (remains) that were damaged by bombing and exposed to the bomb. A type of war ruin. They especially often refer to those caused by atomic or hydrogen bombs, and in this case are also written with a different character for "exposed." Atomic-bombed trees and atomic-bombed streetcars are also partly described. The history of atomic-bombed buildings overlaps with the history of bombing. Structures became landmarks at the time of bombing and were destroyed along with the people nearby.
