About this place
Asahikawa Taisetsu Crystal Hall is a multi-purpose facility (social education facility) in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. It consists of the Asahikawa Museum, the Asahikawa Concert Hall and the Asahikawa International Conference Hall. It was selected as one of the '100 Best Halls'. It opened in 1993 (Heisei 5) with the aim of promoting art and culture. The museum's permanent exhibition room has a two-level structure, on the ground floor and the basement, with reconstructed Ainu and tondenhei (settler-soldier) dwellings, and displays materials on the history, culture and nature of Asahikawa and its surrounding area.
