About this place
Kushiro City Museum of Art is a municipal art museum in Nusamaicho, Kushiro, Hokkaido. It opened under the facility name "Art Gallery" on the third floor of the Kushiro City Lifelong Learning Center (Manabot Nusamai), a multipurpose cultural facility that opened in November 1992 (Heisei 4), and was renamed to its present name in April 2000 (Heisei 12). In addition to holding permanent and special exhibitions in two exhibition rooms, large and small, it carries out art and cultural promotion activities such as collecting and researching artists and works connected with Kushiro and holding art courses.
