About this place
The Sapporo Archives Museum is a museum in Chuo Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaido, owned by the City of Sapporo. Besides the "Criminal Courtroom Exhibition Room," which restores a criminal courtroom from the late Taisho era to the pre-war Showa period, it presents the history and culture of Sapporo and exhibits the cultural activities of citizens in its mini-gallery. The building dates from the days of the former Sapporo Court of Appeal and is designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
