Overview
More realist than Kyoto yuzen - it even paints the holes insects left in leaves - and built on five set colours.
About this place
Kaga Yuzen is one of the Yuzen dyeing techniques used in Japanese kimono. It is also simply called "Yuzen-zome." As its name says, it is a traditional craft of Kaga Province (now southern Ishikawa Prefecture) designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, and is still made and sold mainly in Kanazawa. Its source is the plain plum dyeing practiced in Kaga Province in the Muromachi period.
