About this place
The Ishikawa Prefectural Kutani Ware Art Museum is a museum in Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture, and the only museum in Japan specializing in Kutani ware, collecting, surveying, researching and exhibiting rare masterpieces of Kutani ware. A similar facility also exists in Nomi, Ishikawa Prefecture. It opened in 2002 in Daishoji, Kaga, the castle town of the Daishoji Domain, where Kutani ware was begun. The architectural design is by Atelier Zo.
