About this place
The Maeda Tosanokami Family Museum is a municipal museum of Kanazawa in Katamachi, Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture. It holds and exhibits 9,000 historical materials (designated cultural properties of Ishikawa Prefecture) handed down in the Maeda Tosanokami family, whose ancestor was Maeda Toshimasa, the second son of Maeda Toshiie. It opened on 27 April 2002. Besides four special exhibitions a year, it hosts a Maeda Tosanokami Family Museum lecture series every year around February at the nearby Kanazawa Nagamachi Training Hall.
