About this place
The Ichinoseki City Museum is a museum in Ichinoseki, Iwate Prefecture. It is a registered museum under the Museum Act. It collects, researches and exhibits cultural properties produced by the changing history and culture of the region. It exhibits a general history and selected themes characteristic of Ichinoseki. It has an exhibition of the general history of Ichinoseki from ancient to modern times. There is a booth on the Honedera Village Manor Site, which aims to be added to the World Heritage Site 'Hiraizumi - Temples, Gardens and Archaeological Sites Representing the Buddhist Pure Land'.
