About this place
Iwate Prefectural Public Hall is a public facility in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture. It stands next to the Iwate Prefectural Government Building. The owner is Iwate Prefecture, and management is currently entrusted to the Ryuzawa Gakkan school corporation, Daiichi Shoji Co., Ltd., IBC Development Center Co., Ltd. and Sogo Kikaku Shinwa Co., Ltd. It was completed on June 15, 1927. It was designed by the architect Sato Koichi, famous for designing Okuma Auditorium and Hibiya Public Hall. The style is Neo-Gothic. It was a tall building for its time, and it is said that the town of Morioka could be seen from the tower. Excluding the tower, it has two floors.
