About this place
Hiketacho was a town in Okawa District, Kagawa Prefecture. February 15, 1890 (Meiji 23) - With the enforcement of the town and village system, Hiketa Village, Ouchi District, was established. April 1, 1899 (Meiji 32) - Became part of Okawa District. October 1, 1909 (Meiji 42) - Became Hiketacho with the enforcement of the town system. April 1, 1955 (Showa 30) - Newly merged with Aioi Village and Oumi Village, Okawa District, and became Hiketacho. April 1, 1968 (Showa 43) - The town emblem was established.
