About this place

Naoshima Sento "I Love Yu" is a public bathhouse and art work by Otake Shinro in Naoshima, Kagawa District, Kagawa Prefecture (on Naoshima). It is an art facility where one can actually bathe, made by making abundant use of Otake's specialty technique, "scrapbook," and also using for the first time painted tiles in the bath mural, mosaic art and even the toilet bowls. It stands facing a narrow road right next to Miyanoura Port, the sea gateway of Naoshima. It was built with the intention of providing a place of exchange between islanders and visitors and giving vitality to the islanders.
