About this place
The Miyazaki Prefectural Saitobaru Archaeological Museum is a public archaeology museum at Saitobaru-nishi, Miyake, Saito, Miyazaki Prefecture. Beside the Saitobaru Burial Mounds, a National Special Historic Site, it mainly exhibits on that group of mounds and holds events on archaeological sites and archaeology within Miyazaki Prefecture. The Saitobaru Burial Mounds, spread over the Saitobaru plateau in central Miyazaki Prefecture, are a huge group of 319 mounds, including the imperial-tomb reference sites Osafuzuka Kofun and Mesafuzuka Kofun.
