About this place
Nago City Hall is a facility (government office) that carries out the business of Nago, a local public body, as its executive organ. The building, completed in June 1981, won the 33rd Architectural Institute of Japan Prize. In 1970, the five towns and villages of Nago Town, Haneji Village, Kushi Village, Yabu Village and Yagaji Village merged and Nago was launched. Due to population growth and increased workload, building a city hall became an issue.
