About this place
Imaizumi Imaemon is the hereditary name of a ceramic artist of Hizen Province (now Saga Prefecture), handed down in tradition since the Edo period. Continuing from the Edo period, it carries on the tradition of "Nabeshima ware." Its colored-glaze painting is called "Iro-Nabeshima," has tradition and high dignity, and is particular about the formulation and technique of red painting, which has been handed down as a secret treasure to one child only. The present head is the 14th. 1st (birth year unknown - 1665) 2nd (birth year unknown - 1689) 3rd (birth year unknown - 1717)
