About this place
Misasa Onsen is a hot spring in Misasa, Tohaku District, Tottori Prefecture. One of the 100 Views of Japan. As of 2017, the annual number of bathing guests is second in Tottori Prefecture after Kaike Onsen. It is one of the hot springs making up the Tottori Nashi no Hana Onsen-kyo. Radioactive / sodium chloride spring The Mitoku River divides it north-south into two hot spring groups, the Misasa group (Misasa district) and the Yamada group (Yamada district). It is Japan's largest radon hot spring area, and radon hot springs with a water temperature of 34 degrees C or higher are rare radioactive springs even worldwide.
