About this place
The Haruo Sato Memorial Museum is a municipal literary museum of Shingu, Wakayama Prefecture. It opened in the grounds of Kumano Hayatama Taisha in November 1989, but because the facility had become cramped and ageing, it has been closed since April 2024. It was decided to relocate it next to the Former Chapman Residence, a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan, and the new building will open on 7 October 2026.
