About this place
Kankiku Meijo Limited Partnership Company is a sake brewery in Matsuo, Sanmu, Chiba Prefecture. Founded in Sanmu in 1883. Its company name was given as "Kankiku" after the winter chrysanthemum, with the thought "small but steadfast, making good sake for a long time." In 1997 it began making and selling craft beer. Since 2005 it has also made and sold shochu. In 2015, it won gold and silver at the World Beer Awards.
