About this place
Yoshino Shuzo Co., Ltd. is a Japanese sake company with head office and factory in Ueno, Katsuura, Chiba Prefecture. Its brand is "Koshikoi." In the Tenpo era (1830-1844) in the late Edo period, Yoshino Sajiemon began brewing sake at the present site (the former Koshigoe area). The 12th head, Yoshino Susumu, and his wife Mieko began introducing the sake (Koshikoi) overseas as well, and there are shops and restaurants that buy Yoshino Shuzo's sake directly. The present head is the 13th, Yoshino Shinichi.
