About this place
JFE Steel East Japan Works is an integrated pig iron and steel works of JFE Steel. It is divided into the Keihin district and the Chiba district; the former is at 1-1 Ogishima, Kawasaki Ward, Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, and the latter at 1 Kawasakicho, Chuo Ward, Chiba, Chiba Prefecture. There is also a Nishinomiya Plant in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture. It was born with the integration of NKK and Kawasaki Steel. The Keihin district is the former NKK Keihin Works, and the Chiba district is the former Kawasaki Steel Chiba Works (Kawatetsu Chiba).
