About this place
Daishichi Shuzo Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer and seller of alcoholic beverages in Nihonmatsu, Fukushima Prefecture. It is committed to kimoto brewing, and all of its brewed products are made by the kimoto method. Its catchphrase is “Sake is Daishichi; flavor comes first.” Its trademark is “Daishichi.” On hillsides visible from railways and major national highways around Fukushima (and in parts of Tochigi and Miyagi), it has put up roadside billboards reading “Sake is Daishichi” in white letters. Their number has fallen considerably in recent years, but a considerable number of signs still stand.
