About this place
Kamoizumi Shuzo Co., Ltd. is a sake brewing company in Saijo Kamimachi, Higashihiroshima, Hiroshima Prefecture. It was founded in 1912 (Taisho 1). It took its present company name in 1963 (Showa 38). The name Kamoizumi comes from "Kamo", the former name of the area around present-day Saijo, and from the fact that it used Myoga Shimizu, a famous spring on the Sanyodo road in the brewery's own forest, as its brewing water.
